The HMS carabiners are produced in Austria and thus stand for high product quality and European regional fair trade.
In this article we offer the larger version of the HMS Pro carabiner in black. Both the smaller Pico and the usual, larger version are fully-fledged climbing carabiners. The engraving is made with the same laser process as the manufacturer engraves its strength specifications on the material. This guarantees that the strength is not negatively affected by the processing.
The black version is the only one that is completely coloured, i.e. the basic body as well as the movable part and the Easylock screwdriver. This makes it a real eye-catcher and its black colour a symbol of endurance, courage and strength.
Black as a neutral colour can also be combined with all other colours of climbing equipment if the aesthetics of the colour are important to you or the giftee.

The carabiner can only be engraved on one side. We would also be happy to engrave the back. However, legal regulations stipulate that carabiners must show their CE approval and strength specifications, so only one side remains free for engraving.
The larger PRO carabiner from Stubai has an engraving area of 50x8mm.
This offers plenty of space for a proper engraving.
Basically, we don't want to limit you in the amount of text. However, bear in mind that the longer the text, the smaller it has to be.
If you want to include a lot of text, we recommend simple fonts and maybe even only CAPITAL LETTERS. This may even allow you to write 3 lines and the text will still be legible.
We would recommend that you keep the text short and concise, with names and perhaps a date engraved. It is better to save long congratulations for a gift card. A longer text is also possible, of course, and this does not generate any additional costs. Just keep in mind the size of the text and how easy it is to read.
Symbols can also be engraved at no extra cost. The most common ones, such as the climber, the mountain, the edelweiss and the heart, can be found in the product images. Other symbols can also be specified, our graphic designers will do their best to find the optimal symbol.
Our graphic designers will place the desired symbols to match the shape and the selected text. If you have a special idea of where the symbols should be engraved, please write it in the text fields (e.g.: Name (heart symbol) Name) of the configurator.
If you have special ideas, you can also describe them in the comment field or note that you are sending a symbol by e-mail.
Attention, please do not copy emojis into the text fields. Of course, they can be engraved, but there may be problems with the transmission in the system. Unfortunately, there are no uniform standards on the Internet as to which systems can handle which smileys. If you would like to have an emoji engraved, please describe it to us in the comment field and do not copy it directly from another app such as WhatsApp and Co.
