A product with many names. Glass photo, crystal glass picture, glass hologram, laser picture, glass engraving, acrylic plate with photo, 3D glass picture...

But what is it actually?

No matter what we call it, it is definitely a special kind of r epresentation. With a focused laser beam, the structure of the glass is actually changed inside the glass. The machine manufacturer calls this patented technology "vitrography". In this way, this one point reflects the light in the glass and appears white or bright. If we put a lot of these dots in the right places, the result is a photo that really floats inside the glass. In larger glasses, the number of dots is even several million.

By working inside, we actually have the possibility to display 3 - dimensi onal images. This is why the technology is mistaken for your hologram. While the hologram, like a 3D cinema screen, only pretends to be 3D to the brain, our 3D glasses really are. The laser dots can be engraved at different depths.

But also our 2D photos a re usually cut out by our graphic designers, i.e. the background is removed and engraved inside the glass. This creates the very sculptural effect without additional costs for the 3D model creation.

The material used is indeed crystal glass, in chemistry i t is only the composition of the elements that determines whether the word crystal is used. In our case, it is the amount of oxides that makes it real crystal glass. Engraving in plastic such as acrylic would also be possible in itself, but the durability and effect in glass is clearly superior, which is why we always use glass for our engravings.

How can a normal mobile phone photo become 3 - dimensional? We have our own 3D designers for that. Of course they work with computer support, but each picture is processed by mobile phone and optimised according to image and position. This works with people and faces, but also with animals, vehicles, buildings and objects. There are no limits to creativity here.
